Changes and Cancellations If a ticket has to be changed and a penalty is incurred, the traveler may request payment from the university for the penalty. Fees associated with changes to the itinerary, provided there is a business reason (i. e. previously confirmed meeting dates or time have changed), are allowable on sponsored and non-sponsored projects and are reimbursable to the traveler. Itinerary changes due to meetings ending early are considered a personal expense and are not reimbursable. When trips must be cancelled, travelers are encouraged to rebook tickets for travel at a later date whenever possible. If it is not possible to use the ticket within the rebooking timeframe, it may nevertheless be payable with proper documentation. An unused ticket affidavit must be completed and submitted in the Expense Requests System with an expense report. Unused tickets must be charged to an unrestricted account (PTA) and need to use the appropriate unallowable expenditure type. In some circumstances, travelers may request payment for tickets to be used later by requesting an advance in the Expense Requests System.
Hello all, thought I'd get some input from seasoned travelers. My fiancee and I are booking our honeymoon and want to go on a Mediterranean cruise. NCL seems to have cruises that fit our budget, timeline, and desired destinations, so we're probably booking with them. Their big deal ends today so I suppose it's fortunate that I looked when I did. I noticed that in order to get the perks you need to get the more expensive rooms in each level, which increases the price, as well as the gratuity charge for the free perks. So I guess my questions are as follows: If my wife-to-be and I aren't drinkers (me not at all and her rarely) but we probably would like to eat at the nicer restaurants at least a few times, have no kids, and likely won't use the WiFi much, is the package worth it? It makes the price about $2000 more including airfare, which we can likely get for around $1500 so it might be about $500 more in the end. But having them book the flight would make one less thing we have to do.

There are no public transportation options that go around the city, only into and out of. Not a big deal, you say. Maybe. Again, not complaining that there are no buses to go directly West, just highlighting things I hadn't taken into consideration. On the other hand, we were able to take the kids into London for a few days, and spent less than 1k all in (events, food, accommodation, airfare, transportation, etc). The airlines often offer basic one-way tickets for 20 Euro, which means that we can get all 4 of us to Spain round-trip, with bags, for less than 200 Euro for airfare. Take into consideration all the small hotels and B&B's, and we can easily do a 3 day trip to Spain for less than 500. In addition, in the USA, I had 10 days paid vacation. In Ireland, I have 20 days, not counting the 9 or 11 national holidays, so I can more easily plan a trip around a 3-day weekend. There are other benefits, but you get the idea. Overall, I'm not looking to move back to the USA any time soon. However, I am not as pleased as I expected to be.
